The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing remote and on-site client support, maintenance, repair and oversight of their equipment and services.
The ideal candidate is prompt and reliable, has superior troubleshooting skills and excellent communication. He/she will have a proven track record of client satisfaction and is motivated to provide superior service.
Responsibilities:
Maintains network systems, installs new hardware and modifying existing hardware, and related network software and applications.
Installs and maintains peripheral devices including printers, hubs, routers, and other equipment.
Communicates with end users to understand and troubleshoot problems.
Conducts periodic diagnostics and testing to ensure optimal network function and minimal downtime.
Maintains email and intranet services, adding and removing users and accounts.
Collaborates with network administrator to review and analyze hardware and software needs; recommends changes.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience required.
At least 1 year of experience in network maintenance and user technical support preferred.
A+, Network+, and/or similar certifications highly preferred.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
May be required to work on-call or long hours in case of network malfunction.
