We are looking for a Director of Technology & Telecommunication that will play a pivotal role in the firm's growth by providing comprehensive strategies and support for technology and telecommunications. This role is internal and external facing, working across GGL’s offices as well as selecting and managing outsourced providers and vendor relationships respectively; it will oversee the full range of hardware, software, connectivity, cybersecurity, plus related applications and services that support GGL while minimizing its technology risk.
Supervisory:
Works directly with outsourced technology and telecommunication provider(s).
Manages relationships with application providers, Smart Advocate and Case Status.
Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to providers.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Oversees internal training of systems.
Manages discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Leads development and implementation processes for the organizations IT systems and department.
Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
Select, develop, and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
Coordinates multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP).
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Comply with legal industry regulations.
Qualifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in the latest technology for technology and telecommunication systems and management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software; prefer Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert.
Network 5, CISSP, CISM, CCSP, and PMP certifications, highly desirable.
Excellent organizational skills and diligence.
Excellent analytical and management skills.
Excellent people skills.
Through understanding of IT and practical applications to support the GGL’s goals.
Experience building technology infrastructure and processes for a growing workforce, now over 130 employees.
Bilingual, facility with English and Spanish is highly desirable.
Education & Experience:
Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science along with a Masters’ degree or MBA preferred.
At least ten years of experience managing an IT department.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
Able to travel to offices of GGL as needed.
